How many people use open source software?
In short, probably everyone. If you surf the web or use e-mail, you are most certainly using open source software. According to Netcraft, 69% of the internet's web sites are served by the open source Apache web server.
Although it is diffcult to get numbers, a survey done by Forrester Research in November 2004, clearly shows a large proportion of companies using open source software and many considering its use.
